Imagine yourself surrounded by the tranquility of an earlier time, soothed by the soft murmur of the ocean....

Welcome to the Lillagaard! This historic inn, member of Preferred Inns of New Jersey Bed & Breakfast Association, owned by Dick & Jane Wehr, features 22 enchanting guest rooms, each named for its unique theme. Hand-painted murals by local artist Barbara Climer add a spectacular finishing touch to each room, 18 of which have private baths and  many have an ocean view. For your comfort, all rooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.  Arrington Publishing recognizes The Lillagaard B&B as one of the top 15 B&Bs, and  has given them an award for the best  FRONT PORCHES. Listed with Pamela Lanier and  Trips & Getaways Magazine, The Lillagaard and the staff are ready to welcome you.

The Lillagaard B&B in Ocean Grove, New Jersey, is just a few miles to Monmouth Park Race Track home of the 2007 prestigious Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championship. October 26th & 27th, 2007 will be very exciting for New Jersey. We  were happy to have Kent Desormeaux and his family stay with us for the Breeders' Cup, and we all wish him the best of  luck in his quest to win The Triple Crown for 2008.  We thank Kent for his split second decision to save Big Brown. GREAT GOING Kent at Monmouth Park!
